Well, the Scandandinavian themed musical forest was landed in Dalston last summer; but now it’s back in 2015. Again it’s hosted by cider manufacturer Kopparberg. This time the action will take place in Hackney Wick; but like before it will offer fully packed programme of Dj sets and gigs along with two bars and street food from Mama’s Jerk, Buffalo Joe and Le Bun. The acts include Katy B, Submotion, Orchestra, Citizens! Even, there will be a special edition of much loved London club night Hip Hop Karoke. Well, the forest will come alive every Wednesday to Saturday from 1th June to 12th July and the entry is free.
1984 will return to the West End from June 2015. Headlong’s adaption of George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four is such an intuitive experience that it was the second time around to the West End. The agonising reminisce, blinding lights, distorted roars, walls which can explode in hails of sparks figures that will materialise from shadows and almost too-much-to-bear room. It’s very easy to be distracted by the sound and fury and even the clever structural tricks.
Date: 12th June 2015 Friday to 5th September 2015 Saturday
